REDCap is a secure, web-based application for building and managing online surveys and databases. Using REDCap's stream-lined process for rapidly developing projects, you may create and design projects using 1) the online method from your web browser using the Online Designer; and/or 2) the offline method by constructing a 'data dictionary' template file in Microsoft Excel, which can be later uploaded into REDCap. Both surveys and databases (or a mixture of the two) can be built using these methods.

Animal Contact Health Questionnaire (ACHQ)
electronic IACUC at NJMS! With the joint efforts from our IACUC Committee Members and Principal Investigators during the testing phase, we are introducing a new protocol submission and review process. The new system will allow faculty and staff to handle new animal protocols, protocol review and revision requests, study team updates, annual reviews and protocol three year renewals, all online. The aim of this web-based platform is to provide NJMS with a powerful tool for the streamlined processing of IACUC applications that will benefit our research community at New Jersey Medical School.
Idea Elan Core Facility Affinity: Rutgers NJMS Research Office has recently purchased Idea Elan Core Facility management software to assist the large core labs in the management of their day-to-day operation much more efficiently. Designed and delivered as a SaaS (Software-as-as-Service) software solution, Idea Elan Core Facility Management software provides many powerful modules such as Instrument Scheduler, Actual Usage Tracker, Sample Submission/Service Request, Advanced Reporting and Invoicing, Publication Tracker, Project Management Module, Supplies and Inventory Tracking, Sample Management. Also, the software offers built-in modules to integrate with our central Financial systems such as PeopleSoft, Banner, Oracle Financials etc. The Idea Elan software will be employed to manage the usage of the Leica SP8 STED3X system within the Digital Imaging and Histology Core. The software has the capability to allow users to request and schedule microscopy sessions online, track the actual usage of the instrument and automate the invoicing and billing process.
