Research Interests

I am a tenured professor in the department of Entomology at Rutgers University School of Environmental and Biological Sciences and a member of the graduate programs in Entomology, Ecology and Evolution, Microbiology, and the School of Public Health - https://fonseca-lab.com/. I am also a member of the Rutgers Global Health Institute - https://globalhealth.rutgers.edu/, the Rutgers Climate Institute- https://climatechange.rutgers.edu/ and the Rutgers One Health Steering Committee. I have extensive experience working on the ecological and evolutionary genetics of invasive mosquitoes and ticks and the parasite/pathogens they transmit.
