Research Interests
Her current lab studies the impacts of modern practices on the microbiome and strategies for restoration, working on gradients of urbanization globally, with synergistic collaborations. Her current interest on lifestyles provides a perspective of diversity to the microbiota across diverse populations. She is also leading the global initiative of the Microbiota Vault, to preserve the diversity of microbes relevant to human health.
